Seattle U. Shuts Down Off-Campus Party

5:00 am on June 3rd, 2008 by Kelly Sutton

The Jesuit institution in Seattle, known to many as the un-fun school in the fun city, pre-emptively shut down a Memorial Day weekend party entitled “the Douchebag party” because the party might have violated the university’s code of conduct policy.

I typed \"douchebag\" in to flickr. This is what I found.

I’m sure glad the LMU, also a Jesuit university, does not extend it’s rule off of campus.

Speaking of controversy + school extending outside its bounds + “douchebag” — a student lost her high school government position due to a blog post that included the phrase “jamfest is canceled due to douchebags in central office.” Furthermore, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit upheld their decision.

That is just lame! As if no on-campus partying wasn’t bad enough, they have to try banning off-campus parties? I guess perhaps this party got too famous for being rowdy huh?

I don’t think the kids in that picture go to The Jesuit Institution…
