How to Keep Your Bike Safe on Campus

another tip would be to get rid of quick release skewers in favor of bolts and to secure your back wheel rather than your front. back wheels cost more. especially with your phil wood hub, eai gold metal cog, phil wood lock ring, and deep v's.
I agree with what chris said above. Quick release skewers are just asking for thievery. It is also a good idea to combine a mini U-Lock with a short cable so that you can secure the wheels to your lock which is nice and sturdy up against a decent pole.
And also remember that keeping your bike in a public place where lots of people are around can help prevent theft. Also choose a well lit area. Locking your bike up in the alley is not a good idea.
Mini U Lock + Short Cable + Public/Well Lit spot = FUN times on your bike.
