Everyone I know and their mothers all love Amazon. With the world’s largest retail selection, competitive pricing, and free prime shipping for students, it’s easy to understand why it’s become so popular among the college crowd. Now what if I told you there was an extension that made Amazon even better? Feel free to jump for joy because that’s exactly what the Camelizer does. Like the title of the post says, the Camelizer allows you to track price changes on pretty much any item Amazon sells via handy pop-up menus showing you how the price has changed over time. The Camelizer is available for both Chrome and Firefox and is free!

Other great features include all-time high/low price listings, as well as separate graphs for third party new and used prices. While you can do the same thing via CamelCamelCamel, the website associated with the Camelizer, having the extension allows you to browse Amazon as you normally would without the hassle of entering your item’s information into the CamelCamelCamel site. If you want a pricing graph, simply click on the extension icon; if not, the Camelizer lets you browse unperturbed. From the Camelizer, you can also set up a price alert via the CamelCamelCamel website letting you know when your desired item hits your desired price – very handy for ensuring you get the best price.

Finally, if you’ve heard of CamelCamelCamel before, you probably know there is a whole bunch of websites with accompanying extensions that track Amazon prices with those distinctive hump-shaped charts (hence Camelizer). However, no one does it as well as CamelCamelCamel with the Camelizer. The differentiating feature is that the Camelizer also works with Best Buy, Newegg, Backcountry, Overstock, and zZounds. All the other sites’ extensions only cover Amazon. So if you use Amazon or any of those aforementioned retailers’ websites, download the Camelizer ASAP, and get the best pricing information possible to ensure you’re actually getting a deal.

Did I miss an extension that’s better than the Camelizer? How has it helped you? Let us know in the comments!
