Review: Day-Timer Student Planner Complete Set
Even though web and mobile apps have taken over much of my productivity workflow these days, when it comes to managing my academic schedule, I’ve found a traditional paper planner still works best. Since my planner is such an important time-management tool for me during the school year, I’m can be pretty nit-picky about what I want from one. So how did the Day-Timer Student Planner Complete Set stack up for me?
First, a little rundown on how Day-Timer works. It’s a company that lets you build your own custom planner. You choose the binding, cover, size, page format, and accessories. Best of all, the planners are all refillable, so you won’t ever “use up” your Day-Timer. The Student Planner Complete Set is basically a Day-Timer planner pre-fashioned with the college student in mind.
It features a soft but sturdy Purple or Green 8″ x 10″ canvas cover with a slip-tab closure and floral interior with two storage pockets, a pen loop and a notepad pocket. Inside are 12 months (July 2012-June 2013) of 2-page monthly calendar, a 2-page weekly format with shaded to-do lists and a weekly organization tip, and a section of special student resource pages including an expense tracker, grade record, degree requirements and other reference pages. The planner is a 7-ring loose leaf binder which holds 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ pages that you can replace with any loose-leaf page refills of the same size.
