Get a leg-up on your professional web-design career with a free license of Axure RP.

If you’re a web design student, you’ve probably heard of Axure RP. It’s a great tool for designing websites that allows for easy control of widgets and boxes, allowing for the wireframe creation of rapid prototypes with a great degree of variability control when creating browser-based mockups of web pages. It can then even export the HTML for a site automatically, making the road between concept and final product rather short and easy to manage. However, since it’s a program often used by professional web designers, it comes with a rather hefty price tag of $589, you may not have the benefit of using it.

Luckily, Axure is currently offering their program to current full-time undergraduate students and part-time or full-time postgraduate students majoring in “HCI, user experience, information architecture, interaction design, or other related fields” for free, provided that your grades are up to snuff.

To find out if you qualify, all you have to do is go to the Axure Good Student Program page and upload your transcript, in which your grades must be clearly stated, along with your name and college email address. If your grades qualify you, you’ll get a licensed copy of the latest version of Axure RP for absolutely free.

So if you’re studying web design, we highly recommend you check out Axure and apply for the free license. You’ll be creating interactive and engaging web pages with ease, and have saved enough money to buy an iPad.
