General Information About Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery
Welcome to Roberto-Venn! As we enter our fourth decade of teaching guitar building and repair we build on a foundation of knowledge, experience, and creativity. Merging tradition with innovation, our goal is to keep pace with a changing art and industry. Our job is to provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need to enter the world of professional guitar making and repair. Our five month course is dedicated to teaching you these fundamentals. We are extremely proud of our students and alumni, who have traveled from all over the world to attend Roberto-Venn. While most of our students do not have prior instrument building experience, they do share a common passion for guitars and many are players as well. It seems that each year we see a more sophisticated knowledge and perception of what guitars are about, how they are made, and their history. Collaborations among students, as well as instructors, continue to benefit all of us as we explore and improve our understanding and abilities in the guitar making art. We hope you'll join us.
