General Information About Kirksville Area Technical Center The mission of Kirksville Area Technical Center is to prepare ALL students for successful entry into a career or continuation of their education in a career area. In keeping with this mission, the following goals have been established: 1. To enable students to demonstrate personal and job-specific competencies needed for success in a career. a. Increase program completion rate by 1% annually until the completion rate is at least 96%. b. Increase mastered essential competency level by 1% in each program until at least 97% level is achieved. c. Remediate students on competency not mastered on first attempt. 2. To expose students to the technologies necessary to perform successfully in their chosen careers. a. Expand existing programs’ space and equipment. b. Create new program offerings. c. Utilize grants to maintain up-to-date technology. 3. To assist students in securing rewarding employment in their chosen career areas. a. Increase program placement rate by2% annually until the placement rate is at least 98%.
