Watch, Read, Make: That’s All, Folks
This is going to be the last of the year’s Watch, Read, Makes, as it’s winter break for nearly everyone, and Fridays aren’t so special when you have a month to drink on a Tuesday with limited social censure. So, with that in mind, let’s make it a good one!
Watch: To get you in the holiday mood, here’s possibly my favorite Jimmy Fallon bit: the “Drunk on Christmas” song. It’s good to hum under your breath during tense moments at home. Happy holidays, readership!
Read: So, there’s this guy, Kelly Sutton. He’s done some pretty cool things*, including founding this here interblag. Yesterday, he quit his job to go work full time at a software company he founded two months ago. You should read his blog entry about it. It’s a good example of how continually making interesting things (you’ll notice that LayerVault is his 87th project or so) can actually be a feasible plan for life. Rock on, Glorious Leader!
Make: You know what’s pretty much the cutest thing in the world? (Aside from this Doctor Who themed birthday party for an 8-year-old, d’aw.) Reindeer cookies. Bake up a batch and share them with your high school friends. There are tiny pretzel antlers! It’s adorable. Also, delicious. Both excellent qualities.
* Including teaching Shep how to iron a shirt, the video of which I’m not posting out of respect for this momentous occasion. I’m kind like that.
