Meet Hackcollege’s New Class of Writers
Hackcollege has gone through many major changes so far in 2012. For one thing, I’m proud and excited to announce that after former Editor-in-Chief Shep McCallister graduated in December, he passed the torch onto me. I started writing for Hackcollege in August 2011, and I am incredibly excited about taking on editorial duties for the site.
Additionally, as a 100% student-written site, HackCollege sees writers graduate every year, and we have to restock our talent pool with a new class of bloggers. We’ve brought in five great ones this year from all around the U.S., so be on the lookout for their posts!
Quintin is a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He’s majoring in Psychology and Human ComputerInteraction. He’s part Swedish, part Apple fanboy and part productivity nut – he loves switching task managers. In his free time he organizes hackathons, flies on airplanes and watches way too much television. You can find him on twitter (@quintincarlson) and at his own personal site, quintin.me.
Lev is a Junior and English major at Tufts University. He has previously written for College Humor and is currently attempting to sell his first novel. Lev also claims to be the second-best freestyle rapper at his school, which, if we’re honest, is one of the sadder boasts we’ve ever heard. Get in touch with him at [email protected]
Elyse is a senior at California State University at Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. She’s a major in Liberal Studies for Elementary Education with a minor in Early Education. She loves cooking, having all night TV show marathons with friends, and all things Harry Potter. When not studying or writing for HackCollege, Elyse blogs about her adventures researching her family history at Elyse’s Genealogy Blog. Follow her on Twitter.
Logan is a freshman at the two year school of Sierra College located in the beautiful foothills of California. His plans are to transfer to the University of California, Davis as an international relations major and perhaps double major or minor in economics. In High School he enjoyed making yearbooks and short films in his Multi Media class. Logan’s other interests include rivers, the Internet, becoming strong and listening to hip hop music. You can learn more about this amazing boy by following him on Twitter or Google +.
Of course, you don’t need to be a staff writer to get published on HackCollege. If you’re interested in getting a guest post published and bolstering your writing portfolio, check out our guest posting guidelines and send in your best work!
