School is just about in session, and that means it’s time to find a new excuse for avoiding homework. Luckily, 2K Games and Gearbox have you covered.

Borderlands 2 is almost here, and here’s how you can avoid breaking the bank to get your hands on it. The original game, released in 2009, was a sleeper hit. In a market saturated by sequels, runaway successes like it are few and far between. But the space-western first-person shooter was lauded for its stylish presentation, flexibility in character-building with skill trees, and a seemingly endless number of guns to be collected that got gamers hooked like few other games in recent memory (myself included; I’ve shot enough skag  at this point that I’m surprised Pandora has any left).

Borderlands new game is set to be released on 9/18 in the U.S., and while the game does tout a $60 price tag that can make the average student a bit wary, Steam has got you covered. Knowing that its multiplayer aspect was a big draw for the original Borderlands, in which playing with a full-team of four will grant better loot and drastically more challenging enemies, Steam is currently offering a four-pack of the game with a 20% discount for each copy. But if $40 is still a little steep, is currently offering a coupon for the game with the code GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G, bringing the price down to $36.

Additionally, preodering now with the coupon code or the four-pack lets you in on a tantalizing DLC class called the Mechnomancer set to be released a few weeks after launch. This class’s action skill will allow players to sit back and allowing minions to take on Pandora’s bloodthirsty inhabitants for you. While a price for the DLC has yet to be announced, it only makes sense to preorder now and save yourself the trouble down the line.

So, in the immortal words of Scooter: “get you one!”
