When you’re counting calories, getting the proper serving size is crucial to prevent any overeating. But when you see the reality of an actual serving size, it’s almost impossible not to overeat certain types of food.

In a recent video that displayed the serving sizes of what appears to be typical college food — Doritos, Oreos, peanut butter, and ramen — BuzzFeed shows us just how ridiculous and unrealistic they can be.

And if you were curious, each regular Oreo cookie contains 53 calories. Which means eating ten of them is about the same as eating a Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McDonald’s.

So if you’re trying to be calorie-conscious, don’t worry about the accuracy of nutrition labels, worry about the accuracy of your serving sizes.
