About Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology and Hair Design

Professional Development 27 In an effort to enhance students' educational experience, we provide learning opportunities from guest speakers and technical experts. This allows students the opportunity to network with industry professionals and begin building a base for their own professional careers. Long-Term Goals Kenneth Shuler is continuously improving upon the exceptional education that our students already receive by attending classes and conventions that offer the latest teaching methodologies and current trends. Career Planning 42-career-day Several times a year, each school holds Career Days. This is an opportunity for local salons to come to our campuses to meet, interview, and hire our senior students. Prior to Career Days, staff from Kenneth Shuler provide students with training on resume writing, professional dress, and interviewing skills. In addition, students are required to put together a portfolio that showcases their achievements and successes as a cosmetology student. These portfolios also contain a professional resume and are used to aid students as they network with salons and search for potential jobs.
