    About Staunton School of Cosmetology

Staunton School of Cosmetology’s Expanded Campus is located at the Terry Court Shopping Center 2207 North Augusta Street in Staunton Virginia. The clinic and finishing area at the Expanded Campus offers the student an opportunity to train in a salon environment and expand the student’s scope of learning while preparing for an exciting career in the cosmetology industry. exp_campus4.jpgexp_campus3.jpgStudents participate in salon management activities. They are engaged in learning every aspect of a salon operation including computer skills, telephone etiquette, booking appointments and customer service. Those participating in the expanded campus must meet a criteria set forth by the school. They are selected to be part of a team that rotates from the main campus to the expanded campus allowing the student to be better prepared for the Salon experience and employment after graduation. They can complete their required state board performances at both the Main and Expanded Campus locations. This allows students to receive the training and experience necessary to sucessfully pass their state board examination to become Licensed Professional Cosmetologist. The clinic and finishing department is open to the public for beauty services. Live model experience is crucial and allows the student to learn new skills and practice those learned in their manikin training. ALL BEAUTY SERVICES ARE PERFORMED BY STUDENTS UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COSMETOLOGY TEACHERS.
